Join us for a special workshop, Agency and Education in the Age of AI: New Works by a Vatican AI Research Group. The event will take place on Thursday, June 11 at 2:30 pm in the Notre Dame Washington Office (1201 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Suite 200, Washington D.C.)
AI agents are exploding in workplaces while schools and universities are struggling to discern how to respond to the social transformations introduced by AI. These developments are raising fundamental questions about the human person: What distinguishes human agency and what is its role in the world of AI? How do we educate people to live well in this new world? These are questions that religious traditions are especially well-poised to answer.
Featuring Bishop Paul Tighe, Secretary of the Dicastery for Culture and Education, and members of the AI Research Group of the Vatican’s Centre for Digital Culture, this series of panel conversations will discuss the findings of two new books on these questions from the perspective of the Catholic tradition.
