Faculty Opportunities
Love Ethic Faculty Fellowships
Open to scholars from any discipline whose work explores how love intersects with ethics. Faculty Fellows live in residence at Notre Dame during the 2027-28 academic year.
Applications for Love Ethic Faculty Fellowships are due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday, October 26, 2026.
DELTA (Faith and AI) Faculty Fellowships
Open to scholars from any discipline whose work explores faith-based ethical approaches to powerful AI. Faculty Fellows live in residence at Notre Dame during the 2027-28 academic year.

DELTA Signature Course Fellowships
Open to faculty who have a vision for translating research on human flourishing into large-scale, public-facing, pedagogically innovative courses that have the potential to become a cornerstone in their university’s curriculum.
The application period for this grant is now open. The priority deadline is November 15, 2026.
Notre Dame–IBM Technology Ethics Lab Call for Proposal Grants
Each year, the Lab releases a Call for Proposals (CFP) for the purpose of funding practical and applied interdisciplinary research in tech ethics.

Practitioner Opportunities
DELTA On Purpose Program
Open to faculty and staff applicants from U.S. colleges and universities interested in implementing the On Purpose model of undergraduate formation in their own institution via week-long formative experiences over academic breaks.
The application period for this grant is now open. The priority deadline is August 10, 2026.
Love Ethic Social Innovator Fellowships
Open to non-profit administrators, entrepreneurs, faith leaders, community organizers, social workers, and others outside the academy looking to put love-based ethics into action. Social Innovators serve for four-week residencies during the 2026-27 academic year.

Faith and AI Rapid Response Grant - DELTA Partner Program
Open to religious organizations, academic institutions, K–12 and higher education institutions, policy institutes, think tanks, advocacy groups, and creative teams who are working at the intersection of AI, ethics, and faith. Grantees receive $100,000 to support a high-impact, fast-moving project beginning April 2026 and concluding September 2026.

Postdoc Opportunities
Bioengineering Ethics Postdoc
Open to postdocs and late-stage Ph.D. students whose work explores bioengineering ethics. This is a residential postdoc running from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.

Love Ethic Postdoctoral Fellowships
Open to postdocs and late-stage Ph.D. students whose work explores love-based ethical frameworks. Postdocs have a two-year appointment at the institute from July 2026 through June 2028.

Open to Notre Dame Ph.D. students entering their 4th or 5th year in the College of Arts and Letters whose research and career interests centrally involve interdisciplinary engagement with major ethical questions.
