Research
At the Institute for Ethics and the Common Good, inspired by the Catholic intellectual and social tradition, we promote broad ethical inquiry in service to human dignity, interdependent flourishing, and the common good. Across Notre Dame and in partnership around the world, we support the study of foundational and applied ethics, and convene a multidisciplinary community of scholars and researchers who are advancing moral understanding and developing compelling responses to the most pressing ethical issues of our era.
Through the Notre Dame Ethics Initiative, we also facilitate University-wide collaboration on interdisciplinary research and assist with recruitment and support of leading ethics scholars.
